Hunter's Missionary album page 1

I seriously kicked myself in the butt the entire time Hunter
was out serving his mission thinking...
"I really should work on his album, then it will be done when he comes home."
Kick as I might, I did nothing!

Now, I'm so stinking ecstatic that I didn't.
Why?  you ask.

Because of:
The Elder Edition for the Project Life by Becky Higgins.

It's so easy. You pick an album.
Pick your photos & cards.
Journal and plunk them in.

I call it a 'plunk it' system.

Here's the opening page for Hunter's album
The fun part is you can just plunk the cards in or you can still get a little creative.
I used the sewing machine, some foam squares
and some paint splatter and this is the result.
I did cut apart a couple of the cards, but not to worry... you get about 5 of each card so you're not
losing out at all.  There's the little heart to highlight Santa Rosa, California.  The different quotes & scriptures throughout the cards are so perfect.

Next I'm working on pages for the things he did to prepare to leave on his mission.
Fun stuff!  If anyone ever wants to play... C'mon over!

7 days without SCRAPBOOKING...

makes one week!  hee, hee, hee, hee, hee

Today is my first post on the Leaky Shed Studio Blog,
here is a sneak peek at my fun project...

You can see both of my projects here, on the Leaky Shed's Blog.

If you haven't seen or heard about the Julie Nutting Dolls.... just go to Pinterest (my google) and put in those words and ♪ ♫ A whole new world ♫ ♪ will be opened up to you and you can join the ride.
It certainly is a fun one!

Also...  I started playing with Project Life.  Two pages in and I'm an ADDICT.  My first project is doing my oldest son, Hunter's mission.  I was so glad I didn't start his mission album while he was on his mission, because just this summer, Becky released an LDS Missionary edition of Project Life.
Way. Too. Much. Fun.

As soon as I figure out how to take a picture of those without the glare, I'll share them with you.

PS  I got my first email from my current missionary Bridger today and this is One Happy Momma!!  If you're not on our mass email to forward Bridger's email and you want to be... send me your email.
Love that kid!!!

I'm starting a BLOG

It's so funny to me to be starting a blog.
It seems facebook, instagram, twitter etc.
are  'the way, the truth & the light'
by way of social media.
But none of those avenues really
let you organize and share your scrapbooking adventures
like a blog does, so here I am, making a scrap blog.

I'm kinda excited about this!!
One of my cutest friends ever... Shanna Vineyard
helped me create the cutest blog/banner that screams me!

Cuz if you know me, you know I love green & I love anything
crafty/trendy/messy/scrapbooky!

So, Even if it's just me and my hubs that ever look at the blog...
I'm excited to have one that I can keep all my scrappy stuff in one place!

Here are the last couple projects I've worked on...

This is a fun layout I made with Basic Grey's "Hey You" collection.
This is all about my friend Lexi. I {heart} her.  She is a truly amazing young woman,
and I'm honored to call her my friend.

For the fun polka-dot stencil... I used the plastic backing off my foam circles and some brown ink.
How fun & easy is that.  I didn't even have to spend a dime (not that I mind spending money)
but It's so much fun to see what you have lying around.

My next project:

This is a fun countdown project I did for a friend.  I'm not going to go into a
whole lotta detail, it's kinda private.  But each of these cards
has a little 'motivational' quote on the back that is personalized
to give my friend a little somthin' somthin' as she counts down an
event in her life.
This project was made with We R Memory Keepers
Chalkboard collection.  Most of the cards were made from their
Album's made easy card set... have you tried this product out?
♪  ♫ awwwesome ♫ ♪

To embellish each card I pulled from my stash.
(or should I say 'stashes'... here a little, there a little)

Anywho...    YAY!!!  Let the adventure begin.
